Jesus is the Master Craftsman Before Creation
It was Jesus’ plan from the very beginning to be with us, let’s look at something written on the first page of the Bible:
‘Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness”‘. (Genesis 1:26)
Who is “Us”? and “Our”? Jesus was there in the very beginning:
“I, wisdom, dwell with prudence, And find out knowledge and discretion”.
“The Lord possessed me at the beginning of His way, Before His works of old.”
“Then I was beside Him as a master craftsman; And I was daily His delight, Rejoicing always before Him, Rejoicing in His inhabited world, And my delight was with the sons of men”. (Proverbs 8:12; 22; 30-31)
The scriptures from Proverbs above shows that Jesus is wisdom, Jesus was there before creation, Jesus was/is the master craftsman who helped make us, Jesus made us for His delight.
‘But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us WISDOM from God–and righteousness and sanctification and redemption.’ (1 Corinthians 1:30)
‘In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.’ (John 1:1-4)
‘He was in the world, and the world was made through Him’ (John 1:10)
As some Jews were persecuting Jesus, they said:
‘Are You greater than our father Abraham, who is dead?’ (John 8:53) (Abraham was God’s chosen one, thousands of years before the birth of Jesus)
Jesus replied to the Jews:
“Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad.” (8:56)
Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.” (8:58)
Some of Jesus’ last words, at the last supper, before He willingly let Himself be captured:
“And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was.” (John 17:5)
Jesus came to the world in human form to save us:
‘And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.’ (John 1:14)
We are Jesus’ delight:
‘All things were created through Him and for Him.’ (Colossians 1:16)
Yeah, it’s hard to understand what these scriptures mean but these are the exact translations.
