Truth is singular:

There are different religions and different beliefs about God and the spiritual afterlife and

how we get there, but there is only one Truth, there is only one true God. Truth is singular.

There cannot be several truths, or different right and wrongs, or different beliefs that are

defined by the individual just to make it convenient to that person’s situation. When there are

several truths, or false beliefs, they all end up contradicting and canceling the other truths

out and nothing is valid except to the individual. No, there is one absolute truth, one absolute

right and wrong, even if it’s not convenient, even if the truth is contrary to what you were

brought up to believe, even if it’s contrary to what you want to believe. The enemy lies and

wants to keep you from God. Don’t listen to the lies.

Let’s recognize that there’s a spiritual war going on, there is evil in this world, there is a war

between good and evil. Evil works against God and pulls people away from God. Thus,

the Messiah, the Christ, Jesus was sent. Jesus defeated evil by His surrender to the cross.

We can only be saved through the blood of Jesus, we have victory and we defeat evil if we

are in Christ. We can’t earn our salvation, we will never be good enough, we can never do

enough good work. Other religions tell you need to work to go to heaven. Jesus did the

work for us, we only need to receive Him, it’s easy. Once we are saved we can earn rewards

in heaven but we can never earn our salvation, only by grace through faith. But the evil one

doesn’t want that, that’s why so many people believe in something spiritual and supernatural

but they make a conscious choice to deny the Holy spirit. This is danger, the spirit of the

antichrist is always deceiving us. There’s a lot to cover, ha. We will get deeper into this

later but first let’s review what God said about creation. Plus, the beginning of creation is a

good place to start 😉

Creation -similarities with evolution???:

First, conditions for life in the universe are extremely finite, that’s why we can’t find other

life forms in the galaxy and beyond. We have telescopes that can see 5,000 light years

away, that distance is mind boggling. Do you know what we’ve found? Nothing! If life was

so easy, all the planets would be doing it 😉 Earth is a living oasis in a very barren universe.

Our lives, life on earth, is not an accident. Everything that lives and grows was planted.

There is nothing that comes from nothing. Creation was planted, life was planted, it didn’t

just happen. There is one creator, one true God. In the bible, God spends very little time

explaining creation because the bible is about the relationship between God and man, but

here is some of what God said about how He created life before He created man:

‘Then God said, “Let the waters abound with an abundance of living creatures, and let birds

fly above the earth across the face of the firmament of the heavens.” So God created great

sea creatures and every living thing that moves, with which the waters abounded, according

to their kind, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

And God blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and

let birds multiply on the earth.” Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth the living creature

according to its kind: cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth, each according to

its kind”; and it was so. And God made the beast of the earth according to its kind, cattle

according to its kind, and everything that creeps on the earth according to its kind. And God

saw that it was good.’ (Genesis 1:20-22; 24-25)

This is on the first page of the bible. This shows the creations of other species before man is

created. The species also begin as lesser species, starting in the ocean and then going to land

with crawling things… and then goes to greater species before man is created. This is a very,

very condensed account of the creation of life… but what does this sound like to you? It

sounds like there are some similarities to what a famous scientist claimed in the last century.

These words were spoken by God and recorded by Moses. These words were spoken by

God a long, long, long, time before Darwin was born. Here’s also what Darwin said, “in my

most extreme fluctuations I have never been an atheist in the sense of denying the existence

of God”. -Darwin said this, look it up 😉

After that here’s what God said about creating man:

Then God said, “Let US make man in Our image, according to Our likeness.”

(Genesis 1:26)

Ok… who is “Us”? and “Our”? Jesus was there in the very beginning of creation. Jesus

was/is the master craftsman who helped make us for Him and for us to be with Him. I will

show this later. But yes, Christianity is all about Jesus.

As scripture and events from the bible is revealed here, we need to understand that the bible

is the Word of God. The word of God is absolute. When we don’t go with the word of God

we go with our opinions and we make up our own scripture. No. There is only one Truth.

The bible is a history book. The bible is a supernatural book. The Words are alive and more

powerful than ‘magic’. It’s not a book of fairy tales, there is no happy ending, unless we

receive Jesus, otherwise it’s a horror story. There were many, many prophets and witnesses

before us, many died to provide God’s word. Why do we think we know more than them?

If you already believe in something you should also believe that anything is possible,

especially with God.

‘For we did not follow cunningly devised fables when we made known to you the power and

coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of His majesty.’

(2 Peter 1:16)

‘knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for

prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by

the Holy Spirit.’ (2 Peter 1:20-21)

‘All Scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in

righteousness.’ (2 Timothy 3:16)

Jesus said at the last supper- “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send

in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I

said to you.” (John 14:26) -This basically shows how the New Testament was written with

guidance from the Holy Spirit, sometimes many years after Jesus ascended.

‘But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all

things are possible.”‘ (Matthew 19:26)

Christianity 101 & the Blood sacrifice:

If you look at the history of the world and things that are happening in the world today, can

you see all the hate, all the violence, death, famine and evil? Man is terminally flawed. We

ALL struggle with our flesh.

In the beginning Lucifer was with God but he rebelled against God and was cast out of

heaven. In the Garden of Eden, there was just one rule, God told man not to do one certain

thing, or else… but God did give man free will to choose. Lucifer, who was exiled, came

along and deceived man, because he hates us, and convinced man to do the one thing God

said not to. Lucifer knew it would mean our death. Man sinned against God and right then

and there man was separated from God. Many people don’t want to believe this because

we don’t understand this… Well, the enemy twisted this event into some kind of ritual that

worked against us. Now, we were ALL born into sin, from the blood we inherited from

our fathers, which they got from their fathers, so on and so on. We were born into sin, we

inherited death through sin and sin has separated us from God.

The Holy Bible spans thousands of years leading up to, and preparing for, the sacrifice of

Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, to save us and to unite us with God. The coming of the

savior, the messiah, the Christ, Jesus, was prophesied over and over in the Old Testament.

Blood is sacred. Only through the shedding of blood is there remission of sin. Before

the Messiah came to us, the only way to get good with God was through blood sacrifices

of animals. But not just any animals, the absolute best animals the person owned. Back

then people made a living and fed families with animals, animals were extremely valuable.

So, the people needed to sacrifice the absolute best animals, not the weak or old ones they

could do without, but the absolute best animals, ‘perfect and without spot or blemish.’ This

is commanded by God all throughout the Old Testament, prior to Jesus, all leading to and

preparing for the blood of Jesus.

Blood is sacred. Jesus was born. Jesus came of pure blood. God placed inside the virgin of

virgin blood. Jesus was born from God’s Spirit and virgin blood, pure, righteous and of no

sin. Before Jesus began His work and teachings, He went to the desert for 40 days to fast.

Fasting glorifies God. Satan came to Jesus three times to tempt him away. On the third

time Jesus cast Satan away. Jesus was tempted, tested and passed with flying colors. Now

Jesus was perfect and without spot or blemish. He would be the Lamb of God. (btw, the

numbers 40 and 3 are significant and are all through the bible, pay attention when you read

them.)

Jesus chose twelve people He would teach, disciples who became the Apostles, they learned

and followed Jesus for three years. Jesus went through the lands teaching the will of God,

Jesus miraculously healed people from sickness, He gave sight to the blind, He raised

Lazarus from the dead, He fed and served the people in need. The Jewish leaders took

offense to Jesus. The Jews were God’s chosen people, they knew the Messiah would come

one day but they denied Jesus. They were caught up in selfishness, egos and things of this

world but this is how it had to be for the next events to happen.

Jesus knew the end game, He knew that ultimately He came to this world to bleed and

die on the cross. He knew he was the Lamb of God, perfect and without blemish. The

crucifixion of Jesus was a blood sacrifice. Some might say the Jews murdered Jesus but

Jesus surrendered to the cross by design, He went willingly. To exemplify this, when the

Romans came in the night to capture Him, one of His disciples, Peter, tried to defend Him-

‘Jesus stopped Peter and said, “Permit even this. Shall I not drink from the cup which My

Father has given me?”‘ (Luke 22:51; John 18:11)

Jesus was brought in front of the Roman ruler, Pilate, to defend himself. Pilate was trying

to give Jesus a way out, because he knew Jesus was innocent, but Jesus said nothing to

defend Himself. Jesus knew His death needed to happen. The Jews commanded His death.

The crucifixion of Jesus was a blood sacrifice. It was a Holy, sacrificial ritual designed by

God and commanded by God’s chosen people, the Jews… Jesus surrendered to the cross,

collectively this all makes it a sacrifice.

‘Now it was the third hour, and they crucified Him.’ (Mark 15:25) (crucified but not dead)

‘Now when the sixth hour had come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth

hour.’ (Mark 15:33) (darkness over the land- this was all the sin of man coming to Jesus for

Him to inherit)

‘And at the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “My God, My God, why

have You forsaken Me?”‘ (Mark 15:34) (Jesus inherited the sin of man, sin separated Jesus

from God for the first time ever, Jesus cried out) (it’s interesting that all three times of day

are roots of 3)

This was prophesied. Jesus on the cross is the new the blood covenant. That is the path

designed and written by God for us to receive salvation, it had to happen this way and that’s

why the bible nearly ends there. Jesus’ last dying breath on the cross was, “It is finished!”

(John 19:30) As Jesus predicted, He rose from the dead three days later, now He is God

incarnate, he defeated satan and death. 40 days later, He ascended to heaven. He did this

for us and to be with us, this is the greatest rescue mission of mankind. But to complete the

rescue mission we must confess to and receive Jesus. He took our sin, He paid our price, He

did the work, all to be with us. All we need to receive Him, it’s easy.

‘For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the

righteousness of God in Him.’ (2 Corinthians 5:21)

“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

(John 14:6) (btw, Jesus doesn’t lie, no one means no one)

Even if you don’t want to believe in Jesus… don’t you wish you did? Don’t you wish you

had a God who would do these things for you? Don’t you wish you didn’t need to earn

your salvation and all you need to do is receive Him who is about love, peace, healing and

forgiveness? Our brains aren’t big enough to understand everything. Trust in the Lord,

surrender to the Lord as he surrendered to the cross, for us. When you truly receive Him,

you receive true clarity. He is real, He is alive, He is here.

The Resurrection -How it makes sense:

What happened? Did it happen? Jesus lived and breathed, no one debates that. His

disciples lived and breathed, no one debates that. Jesus was crucified and died on the cross,

no one debates that. I think people choose to deny Jesus because they don’t believe in His

resurrection, that Jesus rose three days later and walked out of the tomb. Have people

really investigated this? Do people say that it just doesn’t make sense or what evidence do

they have that it isn’t true? Let’s look at what happened at the cross and the tomb in a few

different ways, I think there is compelling evidence.

When Jesus died on the cross, His disciples were absolutely broken and defeated. Their

leader was crucified and killed, one of their own, Judas, betrayed them all by turning Jesus

over to the authorities. Peter denies any association with Jesus as Jesus is being dragged

away. After Jesus died, they were all in a room absolutely defeated. The only thing they

were thinking about was how to avoid being killed like Jesus. None of them were at the

crucifixion because they all feared the same thing would happen to them.

Around 49 days later, they were all in the streets talking about Jesus and His resurrection

even though they could be arrested and killed. This is fact. Why was there such a sudden

change in behavior? Because they saw the resurrected Jesus for 40 days before He ascended

to heaven. What other reason besides the resurrection is there?

There is nothing in Jewish tradition that suggested any concept of ‘resurrection’ was even

possible. This was completely unheard of and was a stretch for anyone to make up. But

after His resurrection, Jesus appeared to people for 40 days. He appeared to hundreds, not

just to the disciples. I know, too bad cell phones didn’t exist with cameras and video… but

still, did all of the people hallucinate the same thing? There were so many people who saw

the same thing and who don’t contradict each other. If anyone was present who didn’t agree

with the other witnesses, Jesus’ appearances would have been proven untrue at the time and

His resurrection would not have gained traction.

What happened to the body of Jesus? No one debates that He was crucified and killed and

that they took Him off the cross and put Him in a tomb. So, what happened to the body of

Jesus? Some say the Romans took the body. Does that really make sense? Because that

would only validate and perpetuate what they were trying to disprove, that Jesus was King

of the jews, the Messiah, the Christ. The Roman empire and the Jewish religion was in

an uproar about Jesus’ claims and the Romans persecuted Jesus’ disciples, they would not

mishandle or misplace His body.

Some say the disciples took the body. Well, would they do this to create a lie that would

only bring them great suffering, persecution, pain and death? Death is exactly what the

disciples were afraid of before they saw the risen Jesus. All of the disciples ended up dying

a brutal death because they would not renounce Jesus. Does it make sense they would steal

the body and lie for this fate?

Women found the empty tomb, not men. In this time, women had no standing, they had no

rights, they were barely above slaves. Men were everything in this time. So, a world wide

religious movement based on resurrection depended on women finding the tomb, the lowest

people in society? And therefore humiliating and discrediting the men? Does this make

sense? If it was all fabricated, the men would have discovered the empty tomb.

Christianity is not an American faith, it is world wide. Jesus was a Jew, His disciples were

Jews. If Judaism was working so well, then why would they need the Messiah? Without

the resurrection Christianity would never have gained traction. It gained traction for a good

reason, it happened, it is the truth.

The evidences point to Jesus rose. Can this be disproven? If you think there is a slight

chance this could be true than you need to try it, your life depends on it 😉

‘Jesus said to him, “….Blessed is he who believes without seeing.”‘ (John 20:29)

‘While we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For

the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.’ (2

Corinthians 4:18)

Evil influence in the world:

Do you see the evil in the world? Do you see the brokenness of the world? Do you see

the broken people in the world? We are all broken. There is some real, serious, spiritual

warfare going on all around us.

‘For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers,

against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the

heavenly places.’ (Ephesians 6:12)

We, men and women, are made up of three things- 1) Spirit, which is what’s in our heart,

this is what God sees, 2) soul, which is our mind and 3) flesh. The enemy attacks us through

our minds (soul), and through our flesh. We know that our mind will play tricks on us and

we will do things that come against what’s in our hearts, right? And we know that our flesh

wants to be constantly pleased with food, sleep, alcohol, drugs and sex, etc., right? So we

also know that our flesh acts against what’s in our hearts (spirit). This is how the enemy

comes against us.

There are many, many people in the world who believe in some kind of spiritual afterlife

but they deny the Holy Spirit. Based on what? Do people think they know more than God?

Because it’s not convenient to self? This is the danger. Jesus is the cornerstone of the Holy

Spirit, to believe in something spiritual but deny the Holy Spirit is the most dangerous and

that is the enemy’s plan.

Why is Jesus offensive to people or why is Jesus what they avoid the most? Jesus is not

poison… Jesus is not evil… Why do people react to the name of Jesus as if it’s poison or

evil? Jesus says to love your enemies, to not judge others, to be forgiving to everyone,

His commandment is love one another. Excuse me, this is not poison or evil, it would be

awesome if people lived this way. Why is Jesus offensive to people? Why is nothing else

offensive to people? Because the spirit of the antichrist is at work influencing and deceiving

people.

Do you, or someone you know, recoil when you or they hear the name of Jesus? Do you

know people who hate the name of Jesus? Do you know who else hates Jesus and recoils

when he hears the name of Jesus? Satan, because Jesus defeated him. The name of Jesus is

a weapon against evil.

If we look at a pie chart and a tiny sliver is Jesus and the rest is ‘everything and anything

else’, a lot of people would rather choose everything and anything else rather than Jesus.

People are much more willing to talk about evil things, the bad things around us, even the

devil because the ruler of this world, the devil, has shackles on them. People would rather

make things up as they go, whatever is convenient to them, because the ruler of this world

has a bind on them. This breaks the 1st

other god before Him. This is the most important commandment. Truth is singular. Where

are you on the pie chart?

People don’t want to be obedient, they want to do want ever they want but a lot they do is

harmful to them. Parents have rules over their kids because it’s for their kid’s own good.

The kids don’t understand this so they want to rebel. This is how grown adults act when

they deny the Father God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit, they don’t understand and they want

to rebel. Jesus defeated satan, and death. If people believe in anything else except Jesus

then they are playing into satan’s hands, that’s what he wants. The trick of the devil is to

deceive, steal, destroy and kill. People cannot believe in the one true God without Jesus. A

god without Jesus doesn’t exist, but the enemy wants you to think so.

Jesus is about love, peace, forgiveness, healing and redemption. He wants us to be loving,

forgiving, kind and encouraging to others. If you read any of The New Testament (the time

of Jesus) Jesus does not speak hate… He said to “love your enemies”, which is further proof

of Jesus because man is usually incapable of this. Is Jesus offensive? Is Jesus and His love,

forgiveness, healing and peace offensive?

People say the Lord’s name in vain when they’re upset or impatient at something or for

any variety of reasons. Why do they call to him if they don’t believe in Him? Why don’t

they yell out Buddha! Or Muhammad! Because the antichrist is at work influencing and

deceiving. The spoken word is powerful, when you call to the Lord, you summon Him and

He listens. Taking the Lord’s name in vain is also against a commandment, it is an offense

to the Lord and satan is influencing people to do that. When people call His name they need

to be praising or praying to Him 😉

Sometimes Christianity seems to be the most hated religion in the world. Why? Because

the evil one is influencing. Jesus is about love, peace, forgiveness, healing and redemption.

Some people cringe when they hear the name Jesus Christ. Jesus is not poison… Jesus is

not evil. Jesus loves you, satan hates you. The evil enemy’s mission is to pull people away

from God through temptation and sin, sin separates us from God. The trick of the devil is

to kill, steal, destroy and to distract from the Truth in everything we try to do. His greatest

trick is convincing people that he himself doesn’t exist. Christianity is the most hated

religion because the antichrist is at work, otherwise it wouldn’t matter like the various false

beliefs that people are not offended by.

“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

(John 14:6) A lot of people think they’ve found a different way to the Father, without Jesus.

Based on what? Some may say something like, “my life is going great without Jesus.” They

need to be careful about who they serve because the enemy wants them to keep thinking

they don’t need Jesus. It is true that all paths will lead us to God but there is only one way

into heaven.

Jesus said- “For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son, that all

should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not

honor the Father who sent Him”. (John 5:22-23)

‘Thus says the Lord: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man And makes flesh his strength,

Whose heart departs from the Lord.”‘ (Jeremiah 17:5)

The enemy rules this world, Jesus is not of this world

The evil enemy is ruler of this world. Satan is constantly trying to kill, steal and destroy, he

is constantly trying to keep us in sin and away from God. Jesus is not of this world.

Jesus spoke to false accusers-

‘And He said to them, “You are from beneath; I am from above. You are of this world; I am

not of this world.”‘ (John 8:23)

At the last supper-

“I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming, and he has

nothing in Me.” (John 14:30)

Jesus tells of the Helper, the Holy Spirit, who Jesus sends after His ascension-

“He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness and of judgment. Of sin, because

they do not believe in Me, of righteousness because I go to My Father and you see Me no

more; of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.” (John 16:8-11)

“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the

world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” (John

16:33)

‘But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god

of this age (satan) has blinded, who do not believe…’ 2 Corinthians 4:3-4

Jesus defeated satan, and death, and has overcome the world. When we have Jesus in our

hearts and live for Him, we also defeat satan and overcome the world.

Before His crucifixion, when the governor Pilate (who thought Jesus was of no fault) told

Jesus, “Your own nation and the chief priests have delivered You to me.”

‘Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My

servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is

not from here.”‘ (John 18:36)

After Jesus’ ascension, the apostle John, guided by the Holy Spirit, writing to Christians

about false prophets and non-believers:

‘and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God.

And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now

already in the world. You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He

who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. They are of the world.’ (1 John 4:3-5)

The world’s hatred:

After Jesus had gone through the lands, teaching people, healing people, giving sight to the

blind, and raising Lazarus from the dead, all to bring glory to God and to bring people to

God… At one point when Jesus was at the temple and the non-believing Jews surrounded

Jesus and were going to stone Him:

‘Then the Jews took up stones again to stone Him. Jesus answered them, “Many good works

I have shown you from My Father. For which of those works do you stone Me?”‘ (John

10:31-32)

So, as people in our time know about Jesus, know about His good works and but they still

deny Him… they are also ‘stoning’ Him… so, for which of His good works do they stone

Him?

Here’s also what Jesus also said:

“If I had not come and spoken to them, they would have no sin, but now they have no

excuse for their sin. He who hates Me hates My Father also. If I had not done among them

the works which no one else did, they would have no sin; but now they have seen and also

hated both Me and My Father. But this happened that the word might be fulfilled which is

written in their law, ‘They hated Me without a cause*.”‘ (John 15:22-25) (*Psalm 69:4)

False prophecies:

Jesus said- “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly

they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from

thornbushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree

bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every

tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their

fruits you will know them.” (Matthew 7:15-20)

Example- When we look at the middle east, the main body of islam & muslims, the fruit of

this false prophecy is murder, rape, suppression, abuse, turmoil, HATE, etc… The surviving

Boston bomber (spring of 2013) wrote on social media that his world view is islam. Also in

the spring of 2013 there were reports of a British soldier getting hacked up in the streets with

a butcher knife in the name of islam There’s plenty of examples of these fruits of islam…

The fruits of Jesus are love, forgiveness, healing and redemption.

The Jews are God’s chosen people. islam wants to destroy Israel. Every or most Muslim

countries in the middle east want to destroy Israel. Islam wants to kill Jews and Christians.

The understanding is islam surfaced 600 years after Christ, this is how long it took the

enemy to counter punch. Islam denies the holocaust, or at least Iran denies it, Israel’s

biggest enemy. Islam produces suicide bombers and terrorist attacks, they think the reward

is 72 virgins. Seriously? Does this sound like God to you? Hitler was exterminating the

Jews, can you think of anyone more evil? hitler was an antichrist, sent by the enemy. There

is clearly a battle between good and evil in this world. There are still people dying in the

Middle east for being Christians. Evil powers are at work.

There are many people who prophesy against the existence of the Lord and their fruits are

not being kind, loving, forgiving or encouraging to other people.

‘For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming

in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.’ (2 John 7) (Unfortunately many people

live in the spirit of the antichrist but they don’t know it.)

‘Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among

men by which we must be saved.’ (Acts 4:12)

Jesus said to love our enemies, this includes anyone. There is still Hope they can find and

the Lord is patient.

The fruits of Jesus: ‘But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness,

goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.’ (Galatians

5:22-23)

The Body of Christ in the world:

If all of us, if all of the world, was in the body of Christ, the world would be a different

place. What is the body of Christ? The body of Christ is made up of Christians. The body

of Christ humbles ourselves, we love and forgive others, we put others before us. Why is

that offensive to people? Is that easy to do? No. We often fail, we are all imperfect and

broken and fall far short of His grace. But if all of the world was in the body of Christ

there would be no hate, there would be no crime, there would be no selfish agendas, there

would be no war. As you consider your earthly body, your body works in unison with other

parts of your body. Your right hand does not try to cut off your left foot. We can still be

individuals within the body of Christ because the body of Christ also does not try to harm

the rest of the body. If the world was in the body of Christ we would live in peace, love and

joy on earth, it would truly be heaven on earth. The world described is heaven.

“This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.” (John 15:12)

When you hear of or see Christian groups going around the world to help people in need –

first of all, they don’t have to do that-

‘For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of

God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.’ (Ephesians 2:8-9)

When we are saved by Grace through faith, that’s it, we are in the family of God, we don’t

need to do anything else. We are not saved by our good works -AT ALL- but by grace

alone, by receiving Jesus alone, not by how good we are. Right living does not always

produce right believing, but right believing will produce right living. Christians don’t need

to help people in need, but they do, these are the fruits of Jesus. They do it to show the love

of God through their words and actions. It’s a stretch to hear about Islamic groups, Buddhist

or Hindu groups or any other faith groups going around the world to bring help to people in

need. It’s a stretch to hear about other faith groups showing this kind of love to others, God’s

love for others. This is what the body of Christ does, these are the fruits.

At the last supper, Jesus prays for oneness for all believers- “…that they all may be one, as

You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may

believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they

may be one just as We are one I in them, and You in Me;” (John 17:21-23)

Jesus is the Master Craftsman before creation:

It was Jesus’ plan from the very beginning to be with us, let’s look at something written on

the first page of the Bible- ‘Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to

Our likeness”‘. (Genesis 1:26)

Who is “Us”? and “Our”? Jesus was there in the very beginning-

“I, wisdom, dwell with prudence, And find out knowledge and discretion”.

“The Lord possessed me at the beginning of His way, Before His works of old.”

“Then I was beside Him as a master craftsman; And I was daily His delight, Rejoicing

always before Him, Rejoicing in His inhabited world, And my delight was with the sons of

men”. (Proverbs 8:12; 22; 30-31)

The scriptures from Proverbs above shows that Jesus is wisdom, Jesus was there before

creation, Jesus was/is the master craftsman who helped make us, Jesus made us for His

delight.

‘But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us WISDOM from God–and

righteousness and sanctification and redemption.’ (1 Corinthians 1:30)

‘In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him

nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.’ (John

1:1-4)

‘He was in the world, and the world was made through Him’ (John 1:10)

As some Jews were persecuting Jesus, they said-

‘Are You greater than our father Abraham, who is dead?’ (John 8:53) (Abraham was God’s

chosen one, thousands of years before the birth of Jesus)

Jesus replied to the Jews-

“Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad.” (8:56)

Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.” (8:58)

Some of Jesus’ last words, at the last supper, before He willingly let Himself be captured-

“And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with

You before the world was.” (John 17:5)

Jesus came to the world in human form to save us:

‘And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of

the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.’ (John 1:14)

We are Jesus’ delight:

‘All things were created through Him and for Him.’ (Colossians 1:16)

Yeah, it’s hard to understand what these scriptures mean but these are the exact translations.

Confirmation at the last supper

‘Jesus spoke these words, lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said: “Father, the hour has come.

Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You, as You have given Him authority

over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as You have given Him. And this

is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have

sent. I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me

to do. And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had

with You before the world was.”‘ (John 17:1-5)

This confirms many things:

– Jesus has authority over all flesh, everyone, whether they believe it or not

– eternal life is through Jesus

– there is one true God

– Jesus is from the one true God

– Jesus is the Master Craftsman

– Jesus is not of this world

What time is it?

The year today is 2013 AD. AD translates to “of the Lord’s dominion”. All history is

dated how many years before Christ came, B.C., and how many years after Christ came,

A.D. = of the Lord’s dominion. ALL points of time, past, present or future, revolve around

Jesus. When did man land on the moon? In the 1,969th year of the Lord Jesus’ dominion.

Without His coming, dying and resurrection, AD would never have gained traction and been

adopted world wide. It gained traction for a good reason, it’s the truth, but so many don’t

pay attention.

After Jesus ascended the apostles began to speak and teach with great boldness and with no

fear of death. They were captured and came before the high priest and the pharisees and

they plotted to kill the apostles but one of the pharisees said:

“Men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what you intend to do regarding these men. For

some time ago Theudas rose up, claiming to be somebody. A number of men, about four

hundred, joined him. He was slain, and all who obeyed him were scattered and came to

nothing. After this man, Judas of Galilee rose up in the days of the census, and drew away

many people after him. He also perished, and all who obeyed him were dispersed. And now

I say to you, keep away from these men and let them alone; for if this plan or this work is

of men, it will come to nothing…” (Acts 5:35-38)

Well, the Apostles were set free and obviously it came to something 😉 We live in the Lord’s

dominion.

It’s a Relationship, not a religion

“Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.”

(John 15:13)

Jesus wants to be your friend, He wants to have a personal relationship with you. Many

think to believe in Jesus requires a lot of things from us. Many think the church requires

step by step measures we need to fulfill. Remember, we are saved by faith, not of works

(refer to Ephesians 2:8-9). The only requirement is to confess, invite and receive Jesus into

your heart. That’s it.

When we accept Jesus into our hearts, He accepts us in all of our brokenness, in all of our

imperfections. We’ve all heard the phrase, ‘the will is strong but the flesh is weak’, well,

Jesus said that. “…The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” (Matthew 26:41)

Because our flesh is weak, even when Jesus is in our hearts, we will stumble and fall. Jesus

accepts us as we are, He will keep picking us up every time.

Here’s an example of Jesus picking us up when we fall. We’ve all heard the story of Jesus

walking on water but the disciple, Peter, also got out of the boat and began walking on water

towards Jesus:

‘But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried

out, saying, “Lord, save me!” And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him,

and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?”‘

(Matthew 14:30-31)

Peter began thinking, lost faith, fell and Jesus picked him up. Our mind (soul) will come

against our spirit (heart) all the time. We will also fall, repeatedly. Jesus will pick us up

every time.

It’s all about having a personal relationship with Him. If our behavior changes and we

become closer to Him and more obedient to Him, it’s because He has given us clarity on the

true reality. We may change our behavior but that’s because we want to, not because we

have to, because He is our friend, He died for us to have a relationship with Him.

Open eyes

Do you see the brokenness of the world? Do you see the brokenness of people? Do you

see the immoral crimes people commit against others? Do you see the constant struggle

with pain and suffering we all go through? We are all broken. There is some real, serious,

spiritual warfare going on all around us. Do you see why we need the Savior? Jesus is the

only thing that does make sense in this broken world, filled with broken people.

There is some real spiritual warfare going on around us. We can feel the attack more when

our faith grows stronger and we become a bigger threat to the enemy. Christians often come

under attack because we are a threat. If Christians don’t feel the attack they need to check

their walk because they might be walking in the darkness, so no worries for the enemy.

‘For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers,

against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the

heavenly places.’ (Ephesians 6:12)

Jesus went willingly to the cross, by His choice, to sacrifice His life to be with us:

“In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go

to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and

receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.” (John 14:2-3)

Christ on the cross is the new blood covenant, Jesus came to us in the flesh, of no sin but to

be our sin, he sacrificed His life for us. Wouldn’t you do that for your children? All other

religions tell you need to work to go to heaven. Jesus did the work for us, we only need to

receive Him. We will never be good enough to earn our salvation:

‘For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the

righteousness of God in Him.’ (2 Corinthians 5:21)

‘For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of

God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.’ (Ephesians 2:8-9)

Christianity is the only True religion in which God physically came down to us. He sent

His son, Jesus, of God’s Spirit/blood, when Jesus resurrected He was, and is, God incarnate.

We just have to receive Him, He has made it really easy for us. But it’s difficult for a lot of

people to receive Him because satan is always deceiving us.

Jesus defeated satan and has overcome the world. When we have Jesus in our hearts and

live for Him, we also defeat satan and overcome the world.

We have the authority to use the name of Jesus against anything or anyone that comes

against us: ‘And He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Behold, I

give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the

enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.’ (Luke 10:18-19)

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding”. (Proverbs

3:5)

Lean not on your own understanding is the key. There are many things happening all around

us that we do not see or understand. A lot of people think they know something about God

or spirituality but a lot of people make it up as they go without a true foundation. That is

basically creating a god in their own image or an image that suits their liking because that

fake god is really convenient to their lives… but that god doesn’t exist. This breaks the 1st

commandment written by God- you shall worship no other god before Him. There were

many, many witnesses before us, why do some think they know more than the witness?

Many men and women have died so that we can have access to, and receive, the Word of

God, the Bible.

God has set the standard. People deny the true Lord because He isn’t convenient to their

lives, because God’s standards aren’t convenient to them. This happens because Satan is at

work. People want to live for ‘self’ and don’t want to sacrifice self. Jesus sacrificed His life

to save us. This is a matter of fact whether anyone believes in his resurrection or not, His

crucifixion happened, He surrendered to the cross to save you -fact. The Bible is a history

book, it is not made up of fairy tales. There is a lot of death and destruction in the Bible,

there is no happy ending… unless you write it by receiving Jesus. Otherwise it will end as a

horror story.

We are all in a temporary state here. Our short life here is a blink in the eye of eternity. We

will go someplace when we die, that is true. Jesus is how we go to the right place to be with

God.

Why am I writing all of this to you? Because Jesus commands it, to grow His fruits into

many fruits. Jesus said: “Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also

confess before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, him I will

also deny before My Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 10:32-33)

Jesus is about love, forgiveness, healing and redemption. One Truth. We can’t believe in a

spiritual afterlife and deny the Holy Spirit at the same time. We need to stop fighting Him

and surrender to Him. Jesus loves you, He wants to be with you, He is waiting for you. All

you have to do is receive Him.

“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

(John 14:6) Believing in Jesus is not a religion, it’s having a relationship with Him.

Summary

Life can be very difficult sometimes because the world is broken. There is pain, suffering,

war, crime and hate world wide. We all go through suffering, pain, anguish… We’ve

all been hurt by people and we’ve all hurt other people. The world is broken, people are

broken, this is all because the enemy came against us a long time ago and he always comes

against us now. The brokenness isn’t because of what God did, it’s because of what man

did…

A long time ago… the enemy, satan who hates you, tricked man into sinning against God

because satan knew it would be our demise. God made man with the freedom of choice

and man sinned against God and man was separated from God. Look at how many bad

decisions man made through history and still makes today, thanks to the enemy. Now, we

are all born into sin, from our fathers, from their fathers and from their fathers, on and on

and on. We were all born into sin and we have all sinned against God. Some very common

sins we have committed are lying, stealing, using the Lord’s name in vain when we get

upset… having sex with people we shouldn’t be when we’re not married or when we are

married. There are some more harsher sins but these ones are all very common sins against

God we commit all the time and these sins separate us from God. The enemy tricked us and

changed us forever.

But God sent His son, Jesus, to the world, who was with God since the beginning of time,

to pay for our sins, to be our sin for us. God placed His spirit inside the virgin, Jesus was

born from purity and of no sin. Jesus stepped forward and taught people about God and

performed many miracles. He healed the sick, He gave sight to the blind, He gave cripples

the ability to walk and He raised a man from the dead. He did these things to bring glory to

God. But He knew He came to this world to bleed and die for us.

Jesus surrendered His life, He handed it over to the Jews by His free will. Jesus, who knew

no sin, took our sins upon Himself to pay our debt and died for our sins. He bleed and He

died. Blood is sacred. Jesus knew no sin, He was without spot or blemish. This was a

blood sacrifice. When he did this, He defeated satan. He rose from the dead, He walked on

earth for 40 days, He ascended to heaven, He is there preparing a place for us, to receive us

to Himself. Wouldn’t you dies for your children?

Jesus defeated satan for us and now we can also defeat satan by receiving Jesus into our

hearts. It’s very simple, receive Jesus, defeat satan and have treasures in heaven for eternity.

When life is difficult and when things come against us, we need to remember this is all

temporary. We need to look up and trust in the Lord. We need to rejoice in the Lord in all

occasions, when we’re happy and sad, when we’re in trials, when we’re in pain. We need to

endure just a little longer and the Lord will take our pain away soon enough.

A good Father

A good, loving father is the FOUNDATION of our lives. Here are some things a good,

loving father does- he gives love, direction, instruction, unity, sense of family, friendship,

teaches us, corrects us and he leads us into productive lives. He is our foundation for life.

A good foundation is an unmovable rock. If your house is built on a good foundation your

house will never move or falter.

What can be the effects when we don’t have a good, loving father? Here are some of them-
misdirection, lack of discipline, disobedience, hate, anger, selfishness, distrust, rebellion,

disconnected from family and society, self mutilation (excessive tattoos, piercings, razor

cuts, etc.) drug and alcohol abuse, stripping, prostitution, crime. A poor foundation of a

house can break, crumble and fall. When we have a poor foundation for our lives we can

crumble and fall.

Without a good, loving father life can go really wrong and people can end up down the

wrong path. Maybe you’ve heard the phrase, “he/she really let himself/herself go to hell”,

figuratively. But without the loving, Father God we will always end up going down the

wrong path and will really ‘let ourselves go to hell’, literally. People can spiral downward,

figuratively and spiritually. Maybe you know of people who had good fathers and some

people who didn’t and you know the positive and negative effects of those relationships. We

need a good, loving father, this is God’s design and He is at the top, He is the good, loving

Father.

Make the Father God the foundation of your life, He will be your unmovable rock of

refuge. God gives us love, strength, courage, confidence, guidance, direction, instruction,

correction, growth, trust, peace, salvation and approval. God is good, just, righteous,

merciful, loving, forgiving, healing, faithful, providing, guiding and trusting. He is the same

yesterday, today and tomorrow, He is never changing, He is immutable. When we have the

Father we have so many good, solid things to stand on. Life does get better.

‘God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him’. 1 John 4:16

‘But you must return to your God; maintain love and justice, and wait for your God

always.’ Hosea 12:6

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in

Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 (Jesus spoke these words)

‘Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.’ 1 John

4:15

‘You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is

greater than he who is in the world.’ 1 John 4:4

“as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you.” Joshua

1:5

Go to the Lord and make Him the unmovable foundation of your life.

SIN

No one is without sin. And right living doesn’t necessarily produce right believing, as many

people do good things but they also deny Jesus. Again:

‘For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of

God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.’ (Ephesians 2:8-9)

But right believing will produce right living.

As I wrote someplace earlier, some common sins we commit often against God are lying,

cheating, stealing, adultery, fornication… here are some others-

‘Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness,

lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish

ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of

which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such

things will not inherit the kingdom of God.’ (Galatians 5:19-21)

We could probably add some more that are specific to our lives.

Anyone who has not received Jesus is still guilty no matter how good they think they are

now. But when we do receive Him, we are forgiven and our sins are forgotten.

‘Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold,

all things have become new.’ (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Sinner’s prayer

“Dear Father God, have mercy on me, I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son

and that he died on the cross for my sins so that I may have forgiveness and eternal life.

I believe in my heart that you, Lord God, raised Jesus from the dead. Dear Jesus, please

forgive me for every sin I have ever committed or done in my heart. Lord Jesus, please

forgive me and come into my heart as my personal Lord and Savior today.

I need you, life without You in my heart is meaningless. I surrender my life to you, please

take full control from this moment on; I pray this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.”

And anytime after we receive Jesus when we fall and commit sin, we don’t lose our

salvation, but we lose fellowship with Him. We need to confess those sins and we will be

brought back into fellowship with Him. (but we do not lose our salvation)

‘If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from

all unrighteousness.’ (1 John 1:9)

He is an awesome God 🙂

TRUST HIM

Jesus wants us to have peace. Peace is the destruction of chaos. Chaos is stress, anxiety,

anguish, anger, troubles and worries. Peace is the destruction of chaos, we receive peace

when we trust in the Lord and lift the chaos up to Him and trust that he has it under control.

Ephesians 6:12 ‘For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities,

against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of

wickedness in the heavenly places.’

When we let the chaos rule our life and emotions… we are actually worshipping the chaos,

the enemy. When you feel things coming against you, trust in the Lord and give these things

up to the Lord for Him to take. In the name of Jesus, pray when you are in emotional pain,

when you are happy, when things are fantastic, when you are sick, when you are sad, when

you are mad. We don’t know better than the Lord, let’s trust that He will take care of us, if

we do the chaos will leave.

In the book of Matthew, Ch. 14, Jesus walked on water but many people don’t know that

Peter also walked on water towards Jesus. When Peter started walking on water towards

Jesus, Peter started thinking about it, he looked down, he stopped trusting and he fell and

sunk:

Matthew 14:30-31 “Lord, save me!” And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and

caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?”‘

We need to trust the Word of Jesus more so we will stop falling. When we don’t trust, we

doubt, and doubt is destructive… When we doubt and don’t trust relationships will collapse.

Every time relationships will fail. If you don’t trust in the Lord, you will keep falling. Jesus

will keep picking us up but we need to trust the Word of Jesus more so we will stop falling.

When things come against you in life, it is usually from the enemy who wants to destroy you

but we can beat him:

Luke 10:18-19 And He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Behold,

I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the

enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

(satan fell like lightning… that means his wretched body hit the ground at the speed of light

and it kept going all the way to hell. That’s the power of God.)

Jesus gives us the authority to stomp on the enemy, but that only works if we trust the Word

of Jesus. I have a dear friend who loves Jesus who feels under attack by the enemy a lot. I

spoke this verse with authority and my friend coughed out a light puff of smoke. No, my

friend doesn’t smoke. This happened because of the strength I have when I trust Jesus. Jesus

is real, the enemy is real too. The enemy will always come against us but we can beat him.

When we trust in Jesus we stand strong, when we don’t trust we are weak and we fall. Jesus

will pick us up but when we have 100% trust, we have 100% of the Lord’s strength to put

our foot on the neck of the enemy and break it. We can do that also by having peace, the

destruction of chaos. When we have peace, by trusting, the enemy can’t touch us.

It is good to trust, it is not good to worry, stress or be anxious. Jesus said not to worry and

not to be afraid, so when we do these things we are sinning. We need to confess this to the

Lord. If we trust the Lord we will not worry, we will not be afraid of something that hasn’t

happened, basically “what if…”

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God,

to those who are the called according to His purpose.

‘Those who love God…’ To truly love God is trusting Him. To truly love God we need to be

in daily relationship with Him through trust and prayer.

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own

understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

Isaiah 25:9 In that day they will say, “Surely this is our God; we trusted in him, and he

saved us. This is the LORD, we trusted in him; let us rejoice and be glad in his salvation.”

Let’s work on trusting in the Lord more 😉

PRAYER

Why should we pray?

John 15:13 (pg. 622) Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his

friends.

Jesus is your friend. What do you do with your friends? Spend time together, talk to

friends, communicate.

Jesus is your friend, He wants you to spend time with Him by talking to Him, by praying to

Him. To be in relationship with Him we need to pray to Him.

We are all sinners… we were all born into sin… we inherited sin.

James 4:17 Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.

We sin every day.

1 John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

Sin separates us from God, but-

1 John 1: 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to

cleanse us from all unrighteousness. —–We need daily cleansing…

Why else should we pray? Because it works. All believers have had very specific prayers

answered, I certainly have.

More can be done by prayer than anything else, prayer is our greatest privilege and weapon.

Without communication, relationships fail. Prayer keeps us in good relationship/fellowship

with God.

How should we pray?

Eph. 6:18 -praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful

to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints– 19 and for me, that

utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the

mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak

boldly, as I ought to speak.

:18 – supplication = humbleness = surrender ourselves in prayer

in the Spirit = with all our heart

:19 = Pray out loud with the spoken word! The spoken word is powerful. We’ve all heard

the phrase, “sticks and stones may brake my bones but names will never hurt me”. We

know that isn’t true, right? Because we have all been hurt by words said by someone else.

The spoken word is powerful, that’s why we pray out load.

In Jesus’ name:

‘Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among

men by which we must be saved.’

– Acts 4:12

“All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.” -Matthew 28:18

“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”

-Rev. 22:13

Pray in the name of Jesus! Jesus is the name above all names. The name of Jesus has power

and authority over all things and everyone! Whether they believe in Him or not, the name of

Jesus has power and authority over everything and the name of Jesus can pierce through and

fix any situation.

John 14:13-14 (pg 621) And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father

may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.

Sometimes what we want and what we need are two different things. Sometimes we might

pray for things that aren’t good for us… don’t expect that prayer to be answered. If your

prayer request brings glory and honor to God, it will happen.

Sometimes we need to wait for our prayers to be answered. Sometimes the Lord says “not

yet”, so sometimes we need to be patient. But if you trust in the Lord, and your prayer

request is legitimate, it will happen.

What should be in our personal prayers?

Praise – Praise God for His greatness, power, righteousness, wisdom, creation, etc.

Silent receiving – Think about the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and wait to receive

Confession – confess your recent sins. Sometimes these are emotional sins, anger, worry,

stress

Intercession – pray blessings for other people

Petition -ask God for the things you need that will bring honor to Him

Thanksgiving – give thanks for all of your blessings, friends, family, health, direction, etc.

Give thanks in advance for prayers He will answer.

When should we pray?

James 5:13-16 (pg 702) Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful?

Let him sing psalms. 14 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church,

and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the

prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed

sins, he will be forgiven. 16 Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one

another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails

much.

– when we’re suffering, happy, sad, mad, sick -pray at all times in all occasions

:14-16 = pray for others when they are in need, when others have hardships

:16 – Fervent can be substituted with ‘intense’ or ‘deep’ or ‘focused’.

Who knows what avail means? Avail = Gain! We will gain much through deep, focused

prayer. -Again, prayer works.

1 Thessalonians 5:17 (pg 684) pray without ceasing.

Promises of prayer

Mark 11:24 (pg 582) Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray,

believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

He shall direct your paths -that’s a promise. Here’s some other promises of prayer:

Philippians 4:19 (pg 680) And my God shall supply all your need according to His

riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (If your prayer request brings glory and honor to God, it will

happen.)

Hebrews 11:6 (pg 697) But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes

to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek

Him.

Do you want to be rewarded? How do we diligently seek him? Prayer. and reading…

Hebrews 4:16 (pg 694) Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may

obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Do you want to obtain mercy and grace in time of need? How do we come boldly to the

throne? Prayer.

Philippians 4:4-7 (pg 679) Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let

your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but

in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made

known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard

your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus

John 16:23- 24 (pg 623) And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to

you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. Until now you have asked

nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.

Jeremiah 33:3 ‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things,

which you do not know.’

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God,

to those who are the called according to His purpose. (‘Those who love God…’ To truly

love God is trusting Him. To truly love God we need to be in daily relationship with Him

through prayer.)

Psalm 134:1-3 Behold, bless the Lord, All you servants of the Lord, Who by night stand in

the house of the Lord! 2 Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, And bless the Lord. 3 The Lord

Ephesians 1:16-17 do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my

prayers: 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the

spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,

Prayer works. Make prayer a daily routine, be in good relationship with

the Lord and good things will happen.

The Lord’s prayer -This is a good place to start:

Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On

earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, As

we forgive them who trespasses before us. And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver

us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. In

Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
